Muscular Therapy The Neck and Jaw

Welcome back to the Schreiber Pain Relief Institute YouTube channel. We’re going to work on this gentleman today that was talking about his neck pain. He’s feeling it more on the left side. We’re going to show you how we will increase range of motion of his neck, and hopefully decrease his pain by working on his temporomandibular joint first, and then working on the neck.

So are you having pain with rotation in both directions or more on one side?

More on one side, but both directions.

Speaker 1: Okay. So let me turn your head this way, is that tender already?

Speaker 2: No, this is fine.

Speaker 1: Okay.

Speaker 2: Okay, there I feel it.

Speaker 1: Okay, so at the end. So you have more rotation to right. Are you having any pain that way?

Speaker 2: No.

Speaker 1: A little bit, okay. Okay, so we’re going to work on the jaw, and if you’ve saw previous recordings, I called the jaw, the temporomandibular joint, the thermostat of the nervous system. It affects everything in the body from head to toe, even lower back pain, definitely neck pain.

Speaker 2: Don’t do this at home. Don’t try this at home, right?

Speaker 1: Exactly. And it’s not how hard the pressure is, it’s where I am.
Okay, so the range of motion before had a little more… He had pretty good range of motion to the right to begin with, now it’s even a little more. Now we’re going to go to the left. Any discomfort going that way now?

Speaker 2: Yes, it is, yes.

Speaker 1: Is it the same or is it better?

Speaker 2: It’s better.

Speaker 1: Okay. You said the right thing. Little better going that way?

Speaker 2: Yep.
