PiezoWave
Shockwave or PiezoWave Therapy
Shockwave or PiezoWave Therapy is commonly used to treat both acute and chronic pain affecting muscles, tendons, and joints.
The PiezoWave device is a cutting-edge technology that uses acoustic shockwaves to break down soft tissue calcifications, boost collagen production, release growth factors, and activate the body’s natural healing mechanisms—ultimately reducing pain and supporting an active lifestyle.
HOW IT WORKS?
How the PiezoWave works?
A sound approach to treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. Myofascial Acoustic Compression Therapy (MyACT)is widely used in the treatment of acute and chronic pain in muscles, tendons and joints. MyACT uses acoustic waves to target tissues at varying depths by compressing and manipulating the tissue, resulting in a focused, precise, deep tissue massage. The results of the mechanical stimuli delivered by MyACT can lead to improved circulation and pain relief – key components in the healing process. Acoustic pressure waves are characterized by a pressure surge with an extremely short rise time, which is then followed by an exponential drop in pressure and a brief phase of negative pressure. The pressure pulses used in MyACT applications focus or develop in the target tissue at the point where the pain originates.
Treatments can help with:

- Achilles Tendinopathy
- Retrocalcaneal Bursitis
- Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)
- Medial Epicondylitis (Golfer’s Elbow)
- Calcific Tendonitis (supraspinatus tendon, etc.)
- Patellar Tendinitis (Jumper’s Knee)
- Arthritis
- Sciatica

PiezoWave
ADVANTAGES
• Locates and Alleviates Musculoskeletal Pain
• Improves Mobility
• Non-Invasive
• Reduced Pain Medications
• Outpatient Treatment
• Short Therapy Time of Approx. 10-20 min.
PiezoWave
How Long?
Each treatment session uses shockwaves to boost blood flow, bringing oxygen and nutrients to the injured area. This promotes an ideal healing environment, helping to decrease inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain. As the tissue heals, normal function is restored and discomfort subsides.
• A typical PiezoWave Therapy treatment takes between 10 and 20 minutes
• Normally, 1-2 treatments per week are performed
• 3-5 treatments may be necessary before lasting improvement is achieved
